Dog Treats Recalled

(Page 1)3. We recently moved from Tx. to Ky. Our dog was completely out of a Science Diet brand of dog food, due to the move, we lost a bag of food. It was a Sunday and we went to Petssmart to get a small bag of food, they would not sell it to me "because I didn't have a prescription from a vet." I tried to explain that our dog had been on the food for several years and we did not have a vet as we just arrived in the city. The mgr. said it was a company policy and he walked away. Our dog is very allergic and therefore had nothing to eat for a day. I will never go back to a Petsmart!

1. Another recall story. 26 "million" pounds of hamburger recalled. The good news was it is "people" food. ;-)
It took the USDA 18 days to conclude the meat was bad. A brief summary of this news at this link along with a bacterial study on raw diets for cats and dogs.
